Preheat oven to 350F and line a 9x9 pan with parchemnt paper. IF you want your brownies to come thicker and maybe eevenmore cake like, use an 8 x 8 pan
In a medium bowl, mix almond milk, melted coconut oil, apple sauce and vanilla extract.
Measur your cocoa powder and pour into your liquid mixture.
Next, gather your flours in a measuring cup. Add your baking powder, baking soda, and salt, and sift it into your liquid mixture.
Stir together with a wooden spoon or rubber spatula.
Add in 1 cup of your chocolate morsels.
Pour your batter into a parchment lined pan. Set aside, and in a double boiler melted 1/2 cup of chcooalte morsels.
Dollop the melted chocolate around the surface of the brownie batter. With a toothpick, swirl the chocolate around the brownie mix.
Bake in preheated oven for 20-22 minutes. Let sit for 30 minutes before cutting in!
You can melt a little bit extra chocolate on top for fun! Enjoy!
