Ritz Chocolate Chip Cookies

Ingredients

  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup packed light brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup unsalted butter (room temperature)
  • 2 cups all purpose flour
  • 3/4 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 1/2 cup semi sweet chocolate
  • 1 cup ritz cracker crushed

Instructions

  • In a medium or large bowl, add your sugars and softened butter. Cream together until a fluffy texture forms. Add in the egg and vanilla extract. Mix well.
  • In a separate bowl, mix together the flour, salt and baking soda. Mix half the dry ingredients into the wet until everything comes together. Slowly add in the remaining flour a little bit at a time.
  • Fold in the chocolate and the crushed ritz crackers. Do not overmix.
  • Use a 1 ounce cookie scoop and roll the dough into balls. You can refrigerate the dough for a half hour if you want or get baking right away.
  • Preheat the oven to 350F and line a cookie sheet with parchment paper. Place the chilled cookie dough balls on the sheet.
  • Bake for 11 minutes or until the edges are just golden brown and the centers are still a bit gooey.
