Red Velvet Brownies

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 tbsp cocoa powder
  • 1 1/2 tsp red food coloring
  • 2 eggs
  • 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup white chocolate chips or chunks

Instructions

  • Preparation: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease or line an 8x8-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  • Mixing the Wet Ingredients: In a large bowl, combine the melted butter and sugar. Stir until well combined. Add the vanilla extract, cocoa powder, red food coloring, and white vinegar. Mix thoroughly.
  • Incorporating the Eggs: Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  • Adding the Dry Ingredients: Gradually add the flour and salt to the wet mixture. Stir until just combined; avoid overmixing. Fold in the white chocolate chips or chunks.
  • Baking the Brownies: Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan, spreading it evenly. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out mostly clean with a few moist crumbs.
  • Cooling and Frosting (Optional): Let the brownies cool completely in the pan on a wire rack. Once cooled, frost with cream cheese frosting if desired.
