Step 1: Prepare Your Pan: Line an 8x8 inch (20x20 cm) square baking pan with parchment paper, leaving some overhang on the sides. This makes it easier to remove the bars once they've set.
Step 2: Melt the Chocolate: In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the chocolate chips and coconut oil. Heat in 20-30 second intervals, stirring in between, until the chocolate is smooth and fully melted.
Step 3: Add the Crispy Goodness: Gently fold in the rice crisp cereal. Make sure it’s thoroughly coated with the melted chocolate mixture.
Step 4: Form the Bars: Transfer the mixture into your prepared pan. Use a spatula or the back of a spoon to spread it evenly.
Step 5: Set in the Fridge: Place the pan in the fridge for about 30 minutes to let the bars set. You can also speed up the process by putting them in the freezer for around 15 minutes.
Step 6: Cut and Enjoy: Once the bars are firm, use the parchment paper overhang to lift them out of the pan. Place them on a cutting board and cut them into your desired size of bars or squares. You can get creative with this!
