Gingerbread Mug Cake

Ingredients

  • 4 tbsp all purpose flour
  • 2 tbsp milk
  • 3 tbsp molasses
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter melted
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/4 tsp baking powder
  • 1/8 tsp baking soda

Instructions

  • In a microwave-safe mug, whisk together the flour, brown sugar, baking powder, baking soda, ground ginger, ground cinnamon, ground cloves, and a pinch of salt.
  • Add the molasses, milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract to the mug. Stir until the batter is smooth and well combined.
  • Microwave the mug on high for 1 minute and 30 seconds to 2 minutes, or until the cake has risen and set in the middle.
  • Allow the mug cake to cool for a minute or two before topping it with whipped cream or a scoop of vanilla ice cream, if desired.
  • Serve immediately and enjoy your warm and comforting Gingerbread Mug Cake!
  • Optional to add whip cream , yogurt, or some icing!
