Tips for the Best Protein Puppy Chow
- Use a large paper bag: This is important. To make sure your cereal is covered with protein powder, I recommend pouring the PB and and chocolate covered cereal into a large Ziploc bag. Add the protein powder and the powdered sugar (if using it) into the bag and shake.
- Melt Slowly: When melting the chocolate and peanut butter, do it slowly and stir
- Amount of protein powder: Depending on your protein powder and pb, you might need t alter the amount you use. Some protein powders may absorb more or less.
Storage and Freezer Instructions
After the cereal is coated in protein powder and sugar, allow the protein puppy chow to set. Store the puppy chow in an air-tight container in a cool place for up to a week.
Freezer instructions: Let the puppy chow set first and then transfer it to a freezer safe container. Store up to 3 months in the freezer.
