Protein Chocolate Chip Cookies Ingredients:

  • Eggs: Eggs provide structure and moisture to the cookies. They act as a binding agent and contribute to the soft texture.
  • Sugar: Sugar adds sweetness to the cookies. You can use granulated sugar or substitute it with coconut sugar or a sugar substitute of your choice.
  • Unsalted Butter: Butter adds richness and flavor to the cookies. Ensure the butter is softened but not melted for optimal results.
  • Vanilla Protein Powder: Vanilla protein powder not only adds a protein boost but also infuses a pleasant vanilla flavor into the cookies. Choose a high-quality protein powder that you enjoy the taste of.
  • All-Purpose Flour: All-purpose flour serves as the base ingredient for the cookie dough. It provides structure and contributes to the chewy texture.
  • Baking Soda: Baking soda helps the cookies rise and spread slightly during baking, resulting in a tender texture.
  • Salt: Salt enhances the flavor and balances the sweetness in the cookies.
  • Chocolate Chips: Chocolate chips add bursts of rich and melty chocolate throughout the cookies. Use your favorite type of chocolate chips, such as milk, dark, or semi-sweet.

Protein Chocolate Chip Cookies – Tips and Tricks:

  • Don’t overmix the dough. Mix the ingredients until they are just combined to prevent the cookies from becoming tough.
  • If the dough seems too soft or sticky, refrigerate it for 15-30 minutes to firm up before baking.
  • For a variation, you can add chopped nuts, shredded coconut, or dried fruits to the dough.
  • Experiment with different flavors of protein powder to customize the cookies to your liking.

Substitutions:

  • You can substitute the sugar with a sugar substitute or coconut sugar for a refined sugar-free option.
  • If you prefer a different type of protein powder, feel free to use your favorite flavor, such as chocolate or cookies and cream.

How to Store:

  • Store the cooled cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3-4 days.
  • To extend their freshness, you can store them in the refrigerator for up to a week.
  • For longer storage, place the cookies in a freezer-safe container or bag and freeze for up to 2-3 months. Thaw them at room temperature when ready to enjoy.
