These rich paleo chocolate coconut donuts are an easy and fudgy delicious Paleo dessert that the whole fam will love!   No one would guess they’re healthy and paleo.

I know I can’t be the only one who craves chocolate and/ or donuts. I meant I hope not!!

Either way, I have a feeling you’re going to LOVE what I have for you today. Healthier baked paleo chocolate coconut donuts with a white chocolate frosting that will leave you speechless. Well, I mean I was pleasantly surprised with them…. hopefully I am not alone.

I recently purchased a donut pan from Zulay Kitchen (which you can find on Amazon), and I am IN LOVE with making donuts now.

I don’t know how I ever went without one! It’s so fun to experiment and test out new recipes in them!

Another fun and delicious experiment with these donuts was the FROSTING!  On a whim, I decided to add a white chocolate coating to make the chocolate base POP.

It was so simple, and luckily I had some sugar free white chocolate morsels in my pantry! If you don’t that’s totally fine! You can use regular white chocolate or even chocolate! There’s no right or wrong way to top these beauties.

Paleo Chocolate Coconut Donuts Ingredients

Luckily these Paleo Chocolate Coconut Donuts don’t call for and complex ingredients! Check it out–

  • pumpkin puree
  • unsweetened applesauce
  • honey
  • buttermilk
  • vanilla
  • almond milk
  • baking powder
  • baking soda
  • cornstarch
  • ground flaxseed
  • spelt flour
  • white chocolate
  • unsweetened coconut flakes

For a picture-perfect batch, I couldn’t resist adding shredded coconut. If you don’t want to add unsweetened coconut you could also get the “most Paleo” store-bought organic sprinkles called Let’s Do Organic which contain just a few simple ingredients.

Paleo Chocolate Coconut Donuts

Course: Breakfast, Dessert
Servings: 6 donuts

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup pumpkin puree
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened applesauce
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup buttermilk
  • 1/4 tsp vanilla
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 2 tbsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 2 tbsp ground flaxseed
  • 1/4 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/3 cup spelt flour
  • 1/4-1/2 cup white chocolate
  • unsweetened coconut flakes

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 375F
  • In a small bowl mix in your wet ingredients
  • Slowly add in your dry ingredients. Mix until incorporated
  • Grease your donut pans and scoop the batter into the pan
  • Bake for 10 minutes
  • Makes about 6 donuts
  • Once the donuts have cooled, dip them in the melted white chocolate and roll them into the coconut lakes ( placed in a separate bowl)
