Muddy Buddy Truffles

Sharing is caring!

Muddy Buddies are a classic Christmas snack that I can’t live without! So this dessert combines two great desserts to make these sweet and crunchy No Bake Muddy Buddy Truffles!

Tips for Muddy Buddy Truffles

  • Refrigerate the truffle filling after putting it together and before scooping it into balls. This will help them keep their shape when you coat it in chocolate.
  • After you dip the truffles into the chocolate, let the chocolate harden back up. This is important for the next step! Powdered sugar sticks really well to cold, refrigerated chocolate.
  • Double roll them in the the powdered sugar!! This will help ensure the powdered sugar stays on!
  • If your chocolate isn’t melting properly, you can use a double boiler. Microwaving chocolate can burn it if you aren’t careful.

Muddy Buddy Truffle Ingredients

  • chex cereal: a must for this recipe!
  • peanut butter: you can’t make muddy buddies without peanut butter! You can always swap for another nut butter if you are allergic, but I used creamy peanut butter.
  • powdered sugar: this adds sweetness inside and outside your truffles
  • chocolate: You can use semi sweet or dark!

These truffles are inspired by Simply Unbeetable’s popular Tiktok recipe! I did make a few tweaks and they came out amazing !
