Why You'll Love Monster Protein Energy Bites

  why you'll love them!

  • no bake: no need to turn on your oven! Just grab
  • meal prep: this recipe yields over a dozen balls, so you can store them in the fridge and snack on throughout the week!
  • high protein: this recipe calls for 1/4 cup protein powder!

Monster Protein Energy Bites Ingredients

  • Peanut butter: I sued all-natural peanut butter in this recipe to give it that classic monster cookie flavor, but any nut butter will work!
  • Rolled oats: rolled oats are a classic monster cookie ingreident! They add texture and whole grains to your snack!
  • Protein powder: make sure you use a protein powder that you actually like! I use this one alot.
  • Chia seeds: while you do not NEED chia seeds for monster cookies, I wanted to add more nutrition to them.
  • Honey: honey added sweetness to your monster bites. Maple syrup might not be sticky enough to hold your ingredients together.
  • Vanilla extract: this brings out the peanut butter flavor!
  • Mini m&ms and chocolate chips: DO NOT SKIP THIS! They are a classic monster cookie ingredient that is super necessary!

    Monster Protein Energy Bites

    Ingredients

    • 1 cup rolled oats
    • 1/2 cup peanut butter
    • 1/4 cup honey or maple syrup
    • 1/4 cup vanilla protein powder
    • 1/4 cup mini chocolate chips
    • 1/4 cup mini m&ms
    • 2 tbsp chia seeds
    • 1 tsp vanilla extract
    • pinch of salt

    Instructions

    • In a large mixing bowl, combine the rolled oats, nut butter, honey or maple syrup, protein powder, chocolate chips, m&ms, chia seeds or flax seeds (if using), vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt.
    • Stir the ingredients together until everything is evenly distributed and the mixture starts to come together. You may need to use your hands to fully incorporate all the ingredients.
    • Once the mixture is well combined, use your hands to roll it into small, bite-sized balls. If the mixture is too sticky, you can wet your hands slightly with water to prevent sticking.
    • Place the energy bites on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, and chill them in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes to firm up.
    • Once firm, transfer the energy bites to an airtight container and store them in the refrigerator for up to one week. You can also store them in the freezer for longer-term storage.
