Almost Paradiiseee…. we’re knockin on heaven’s doooooorrr….. Who’s ready for a little sip of paradise?? 😉
One of the things I love most about smoothies is that you can mix and match all different types of fruits and veggies to create the flavor you want!
I am almost never in the mood for the same flavors every day! So I thought I’d be a little creative this time and make a healthy GREEN drink that incorporates fruits and vegetables!
Oh and don’t forget it’s vegan and dairy free!! 😉
Now I know drinking something green may be a turn off for some people, but trust me, this drink is good! But if you think you’re craving something a little tarter I recommend this Berry Cherry Smoothie! It will totally satisfy your sweet tooth!
OR even take a different route and try this Blueberry Oat Smoothie for a delicious and filling breakfast drink!
When I make my smoothies I ALWAYS make sure to add bananas. Bananas are just amazing in themselves and they offer great flavor and texture to your drinks!
For colder smoothies I ALWAYS make sure to throw in FROZEN banana slices. Now I can’t even lie, freezing my nanas was probably the best thing I ever did for me AND my smoothies.
(Trust me…. it is a game changer!!)
For the rest of the drink you will need some grapes, a granny smith apple, a handful of almonds, spinach leaves, and some kale leaves. Adding almonds to your drinks helps to give that extra substance that will keep you feeling fuller for longer. This definitely comes in handy for me when I have one of those crazy days and don’t even have time to make lunch.
In addition, combining spinach and kale to your drinks gives your body the iron and other nutrients it may be lacking throughout the day. That’s why I often find it simpler to add these leafy greens to my drinks as a way to make sure I incorporate them into my diet!
If you use the NutriBullet like me then I typically place the leaves on the bottom , then the grapes, almonds banana and then apple on top. It doesn’t have to be this way but it works well for me!
To keep this smoothie light and healthy I add 3/4 cups of water instead of adding Almond milk.
This gives it a looser texture that makes it less clumpy! It’s really all based on your personal preference !
Feel free to swap out the water for your desired liquid! Now lets get blending! 😀
