Baking Tips

  • Make sure you whip the eggs and coconut sugar until the color lightens and the mixture becomes fluffy and a bit sticky. This is what contributes to the crunchy and crackly top!
  • Test for doneness by inserting a toothpick into the center of the recipe. You definitely want to slightly underbake these, but. not too much. Test often for some moist crumbs!
  • After the initial 15 minute baking time, bang pan on countertop. This releases air bubbles.
  • Fold in the “optional” chocolate chips
  • Wait until gluten-free dairy-free brownies are cooled before you start eatting! It will be gooey!

Flour

These gluten-free dairy-free brownies are made with arrowroot flour. Arrowroot flour is great in gluten-free baking for thickening sauces and batters. You can also directly substitute cornstarch or tapioca flour for thickening sauces and batters.

Dairy-Free Chocolate

Most chooclate sold in sotres contain milk. there are several brands of dairy-free chocolate chips. These are some brands I have tried and enjoyed!

How to Serve and Store:

Serve these brownies cooled with some milk or icecream!

You can store them at room temperature for up to 4 days and in the fridge for up to 6 days.

You can freeze them if you want, but I did not personally test this.
