Banana Pumpkin Bread Streusel Topping
This bread is literally not complete without the streusel topping!
Make sure to completely cover the batter in streusel so you can hardly see anything underneath. Once baked, it is time for a maple glaze on top! You do not NEED this part, but I find it rather aesthetic and tasty. Plus, it is super easy to make! All you need are two ingredients: powdered sugar & maple syrup!
How Do You Know When the Banana Pumpkin Bread is Done?
When there is about 10 minutes left, I would test the center with a toothpick! If it comes out wet, keep baking it. You will know when it is done when the center has risen and the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
The streusel should also be a nice golden color! The edges will be a bit darker than the center!
How to Store this Easy Banana Pumpkin Bread?
IF you have not cut into your bread, you can wrap it in aluminum foil or, if it has been cut, store it in an airtight container. You can also freeze your bread if you want! I would wrap individual pieces in cling wrap and then store it in an airtight container.

Easy Banana Pumpkin Bread
Ingredients
- 2 large eggs
- 2 ripe bananas
- 1 cup pumpkin puree
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter melted
- 1/4 cup coconut sugar
- 1/2 cup light brown sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp pumpkin pie spice
- 1/2 tsp nutmeg
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
Streusel Topping
- 1/2 cup all purpose flour
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 6 tbsp cold butter diced
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease a loaf pan and line it with parchment paper. Set aside.
- In a large bowl, combine the mashed bananas, pumpkin puree, brown sugar, melted butter, eggs, and vanilla extract. Whisk until everything is mixed together.
- Add in the flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg, and pumpkin pie spice. Whisk until everything is combined. Pour batter into your loaf pan.
- In a medium-sized bowl, combine all of the streusel ingredients. Mix together with a fork until clumps form. Sprinkle evenly on top of the bread batter.
- Bake for about 50-55 minutes.
- Allow to cool before cutting into it. Enjoy!
