Crispy Chewy Oatmeal Cookies

Sharing is caring!

Crispy Chewy Oatmeal Cookies are the perfect combination of textures and flavors. These cookies are crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside, making them irresistible to both kids and adults.

The key to achieving the perfect texture is to use a combination of old-fashioned oats and all-purpose flour. The oats add a chewy texture and a nutty flavor, while the flour provides a crispy texture. Additionally, using brown sugar instead of white sugar will also contribute to a chewier texture.

Crispy Chewy Oatmeal Cookies Ingredients

  • Unsalted butter: I used one stick of I Can’t Believe It’s Not butter and one Land O Lakes unsalted butter. Make sure it is softened.
  • Sugar: I used both brown and white sugar to give it a soft yet crisp texture.
  • Eggs:
  • Vanilla extract: use a little or a lot! It lends so much flavor to your cookies!
  • All purpose flour:
  • Baking soda & salt: helps with flavor and rising.
  • Cinnamon: for that warm cookie flavor
  • Oats: If you want the cookies to be crispy, try only quick oats

How to Make the Best Oatmeal Cookies?

  • I used old fashioned oats. You can use quick oats, but I prefer old fashioned oats
  • I really like making these cookies large in size. I would use either a medium or large cookie scoop.
