Chocolate chip freezer fudge bars that will completely KNOCK YO SOCKS OFF!!! 😎
Do you ever feel like having an after-dinner snack of creamy, delectable fudge?
Well, same here! These chocolate chip freezer fudge bars create a satisfying sweet treat without the negative effects that real fudge has to offer.
If you’ve been a follower of me for some time, you’ve probably noticed my peanut butter obsession by now. Not to mention I LOVE no-bake treats!!
There is literally nothing better.
If you need a refresher, here’s exhibit A –> No-bake chocolate-covered keto bites
PB is such a versatile ingredient that can be frozen, put in smoothies, or even put on sandwiches! Either way, you can’t go wrong.
THE SKY IS THE LIMIT!
Chocolate Chip Freezer Fudge
These chocolate chip freezer fudge bars are also gluten and dairy-free for those of you with dietary restrictions.
While peanut butter will always be my numba one, I wanted to test my new cashew butter out! Therefore, I did a little mixing of the two to get the best of both worlds!!
The mixture between the cashew and peanut butter created a creamy, thick texture that resembles that of true chocolate fudge. Although this fudge isn’t 100% chocolate, it does have chocolate chips.
My number one baking rule:
You must measure chooclate chips with your HEART ❤️
How can you ever place restrictions on chocolate?! NEWS FLASH: YA CAN’T!!!
Just give me a chooclate fountain and…a SPOON and I will be happy. On second thought… I don’t even need the spoon.
Give me a bib and I’ll just stick my head under it like its a water fountain 💦
Anyway, you get the point. Chocolate + Caitlin = TRUE LUV
Okay, lts carry on.
Of course, this baby wouldn’t be complete without a little sprinkle of salt on top! (The salt is added on top for taste.)
I used Himalayan pink salt, but you may use any other sea salt to garnish your fudge.
These do not just have to be after-dinner snacks, but they can also be after lunch or breakfast snacks. The fat from the nut butter help to ease your hunger pains and hold you over until the next meal.
While most fudge contains sweetened condensed milk, which is very high in sugars (1oz contains over 15 grams of sugar), this fudge’s only source of sugar is from the maple syrup. I used ONLY only 1/3 cup of it for the entire recipe.
As you guys can see, this recipe is definitely a healthier, yet still delicious, alternative to conventional fudge. HIP HIP! HOORAYYYY!!
SOME NOTES
This fudge MUST stay in the freezer otherwise it will get too soft and misshapen under higher temperatures.
The only problem I feel I must warn you about is that the chocolate chips get very hard in the freezer (WHOOPS). For this reason, I would suggest using smaller chocolate chips. Using larger morsels made it more difficult to cut through the fudge.
Whenever you feel like enjoying some fudge, you can grab one out of the freezer and dig in right away or let it defrost a bit in room temperature before consuming.
These chocolate chip freezer fudge bars definitely are a necessary treat to make! I know that I will definitely be making these again!
