Chewy no bake Chocolate Almond Oat Bars sweetened with maple syrup and mixed with mini chocolate morsels are an easy snack or healthy dessert!
The ingredient list for these bars are super simple and leaves plenty of room for customization! Swap almond butter for sunflower butter and replace some oats with chopped nuts or seeds. These Chocolate Almond Oat Bars can be served as a snack or dessert!! But I am here to tell you, I love sneaking them straight out of the fridge!
Chocolate Almond Oat Bars Ingredients
- Almond Butter: the main ingredient! You can swap it out for your favorite nut butter if you wish.
- Rolled oats: Sometimes I like mixing a little bit of quick oats to make for a softer no bake treat!
- Maple Syrup: This helps bind the oats together and gives its sweet flavor!
- Almond Milk: a little moisture is needed for these bars to stick and be soft.
- Ground Flax seeds: I added this in for a little extra nutrients. You can ommit if you do not have on hand!
- Vanilla extract: I love adding vanilla to my granola bars! It's a little ingredient that makes them DELISH.
- Salt: Trust me. It won't turn your chocolate almond oat bars salty, it will just enhance the flavors!
- Mini Chocolate Chips: I'm not gonna tell you what to do, but you def need chocolate chips inside this recipe! You can even melt some and drizzle it on top!
How to Make Chocolate Almond Oat Bars
- Prep your station: Line a bread pan with parchment paper and set aside. Get out a medium bowl for the dry ingredients.
- Set aside your dry ingredients: Add all of your dry ingredients in a medium or small bowl. Set aside while you mix up the wet ingredients.
- Stir in flavor: add vanilla and salt to almond butter, almond milk, & maple syrup mixture and stir to combine.
- Add dry to wet. Then pour the dry ingredients into your wet ingredients.
- Stir to combine: Give the whole mixture a stir until the dry ingredients are evenly coated.
Variations
These delicious Chocolate Almond Oat Bars are easily adaptable and can be changed based on your preferences. Here are some options to get you started.
- Nut butter: Substitute almond butter for peaut butter, cashew butter, or sunflower seed butter!
- Sweetener: substitute honey for maple syrup.
- Dried fruit: I did not use any in this recipe, but you cna use raisins, dates, or dried cranberries.
- Nuts: Use chopped pecans, walnuts, almonds or peanuts for a crunchy texture.
Storing Tips
Refrigerate: Store these no bake chocolate almond bars in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 5 days.
Freeze: you can freeze the cut up bars in a plastic container or freezer bag for up to 3 months! When you are ready to dig in, take it out of the freezer, let them thaw on the counter and enjoy!

Chocolate Almond Oat Bars
Ingredients
- 1/3 cup almond butter
- 1/3 cup maple syrup
- 1/4 cup almond milk
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/8 cup flax seeds
- 1/5 cups rolled oats
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- 1/4 cup oats flour
- 1/4 cup cocoa powder
- 1/3 cup mini chocolate chips
Instructions
- In a medium bowl add all of your ingredient except chocolate. Mix until combined and soft.
- Next add in your mini chocolate morsels and disperse evenly.
- Line an 8×8 pan with parchment paper and press your bars into the pan.
- Let them sit in the fridge for an hour or two and then cut into rectangles. Store in the fridge for up to 5 days!
