Why Vega Protein Powder?
Vega One’s vegan protein powders have more than 6,500 positive reviews on Amazon, and there’s a good reason for it. It provides 6 grams of fiber and 20 grams of protein. It is also packed with probiotics, spirulina, and maca for a boost of health-promoting nutrients. There are a variety of flavors: berry, chocolate, coconut almond, mocha, vanilla chai, salted caramel, and chocolate mint flavors.
My favorite of theirs is the chocolate and the caramel, which I used in this recipe as well as my Churro Protein Balls. I’m telling you guys, the salted caramel truly gave these Cake Batter Bars their birthday cake flavor.
On top of Vega being vegan and gluten-free, it is also keto-friendly! So if you are following a low carb diet, you are in luck!
How do you know when the bars are ready?
You know when your vegan Cake Batter Bars are done when they start to turn golden brown on the edges.
There’s nothing like a good old fashioned toothpick test! Insert the toothpick into the bars and remove it. If the batter is not wet or sticking, your dessert is done! Whoop!
How do I store these Cake Batter Bars?
I recommend storing them in an airtight container on your countertop in a cool dark place or in the refrigerator for best results. They should last up to 5-7 days.
Can I Freeze Cake Batter Bars?
This dessert is great to freeze! Place your sliced blondies on a baking sheet and then place in the freezer. Freeze for 30 minutes before transferring into a freezer-safe, gallon-size bag. Remove as much air as possible and seal. Freeze for up to 3 months.
