Brownie Mix Cookies Ingredients
- Brownie mix: the main ingredient for this recipe! I used Ghirardelli dark chocolate brownie mix.
- Unsalted butter: I always use unsalted so I can control the salt content. Also melting the butter will help these cookies be fudgy and brownie-like.
- Eggs: This helps your dessert rise.
- Maple syrup: a hint of sweetener!
- Flour: need a bit more to help these brownies turn into cookies.
- Cocoa powder: this helps give that rich, fudgy flavor to your cookies.

FAQ + Tips & Tricks for the Best Brookies
Make them extra pretty: for bake worthy-cookies, I usually add a few chocolate chips on top of the cookies right as they come out of the oven. You can also sprinkle them with flay sea salt for a more profesh look.
Mix up the Chips: If your brownie mix does not have chocolate chips, or even if it does, have some fun and add your favorite chocolate chips! Add some white chocolate chips, chocolate chinks, milk chocolate chips, or even peanut butter chips.
Why is my brownie mix cookie dough soft? Because these cookies are trying to be brownie-like, the dough will be softer than normal cookie dough. That is totally okay! We want the cookies to be as close to brownies as possible!
Can you make cookies with brownie mix!? Absolutely! Follow my instructions in the recipe card below! You will need a little extra flour and other ingredients to turn brownie mix into cookies!
Storage & Freezing
Storage: Store the cookies in an airtight container or Ziplock bag at room tem for 4-5 days.
Freezing: To freeze the dough, roll into balls and freeze on a baking sheet until firm. Then transfer to an airtight contianer or Ziplock bag. Freeze for 1-2 months. You cna layer parchment between the cookie dough balls so they don't stick to one another.
