Berry-Cherry-Smoothie-clean-eaterHave you ever become obsessed with a certain type of food for like a week or even a month and just wanted to eat it every day. Well, that has kind of been me for the past two weeks (or maybe a month… but who’s counting!). Since it’s the summer I have become obsessed with smoothies and fruit bowls! I make a fruit smoothie practically every morning for breakfast. It never gets old!

I ALWAYS try to find healthy ways to eat. Whether its for breakfast, lunch, or dinner I always make sure what I am putting into my body is healthy and natural.

That’s why I decided to start making my favorite smoothies and bowls for myself almost everyday! It’s just so refreshing in the summer heat AND it’s so pretty to look at, especially this Berry Cherry Smoothie!

Another reason I love it so much is that it is very simple to make! There are only 5 ingredients that will give you all the flavors you need. Strawberries, blueberries, & cherries create the perfect combination. I make sure to use all frozen fruits except for strawberries from time to time depending on what I have stocked in the refrigerator. I personally love using frozen fruits because it provides a thicker and much cooler consistency that makes the smoothie 10x better.

Unlike my other smoothies, this particular drink has no bananas in the mix. I do love my frozen nanas but sometimes I crave a smoothie bursting with sweet berry flavors! So, if you aren’t a fan of bananas to begin with you’re in luck! This is the perfect power smoothie to get your energized for your day!

To add protein as well as a creamy texture, I add Greek yogurt. Greek yogurt is one of my fave ingredients to add into my smoothies! I typically use Dannon Light & Fit plain vanilla or coconut flavored yogurt, but the choice is yours! Choose the flavor that gets your salivary glands workin!

In addition, I use unsweetened almond milk to breathe life into the smoothie. I am not a huge fan of coconut water so I tend to stick with my almond milk. I chose unsweetened so it would be a healthier breakfast free of unnecessary bad sugars. Also, there isn’t much difference in the flavor! Either way, it is absolutely delish!!

  • 1/2 cup frozen cherries
  • 1/2 cup frozen strawberries
  • 1/4 cup frozen blueberries
  • 1/2 cup Greek Vanilla Dannon
  • 1 cup unsweetened almond milk

  1. Blend all ingredients together until smooth. Sprinkle some coconut flakes if you so desire!!
