The best Vanilla Protein Pancakes EVAAA!!!
Waking up this morning, I was NOT feelin my usual eggs and toast, so I opted for a fresh stack of protein pancakes!
I mean can you even go wrong??!
To make these babies even BETTER, they only use FIVE ingredients!!
Here is what you will need:
- a banana
- egg whites
- protein powder
- flax meal
- cinnamon
One of the things I LOVE about pancakes is how little ingredients you actually need to make them.
I have used oat flour, almond flour, and spelt flour before and they’ve all come out pretty awesome! This time, however, I opted for protein powder.
I knew it could be done, but I had never made my pancakes with a protein powder acting as the flour. It was my mission to find the simplest and healthiest way to get your protein in for breakfast. After a few tries, I think I got a good one down!!
While I am not personally vegan, I did use a vegan, plant-based protein powder. Vega One Organic has 20 grams of protein, vitamins and mineral, greens, fiber, probiotics and omega 3 in just ONE serving.
In addition, Vega plant-based protein powders are sweetened with stevia. Stevia is an amazing sugar substitute because it is plant based and has no calories! THATS RIGHT! ZERO CALORIES!
By using this protein powder, there was no need for added sugars in my pancakes!
